Thanks vcj for getting this discussion going; and glad your writing reduced negative sentiments. We all get these, and the ski hill formed over the past couple of months has been yet another test for all in this choppy market since 2008. (I found a bit more cash to add more NEN shares during recent low points, but still frustrating to see the oiler's share price so far below value.)

hatmopit nicely pointed out that Ken's BRR interview highlighted how soon the Vietnam partnership announcement will occur, and generally explained why it hasn't been announced yet. Well worth listening to that interview. Giddyup noted that this partnership is recent (4-5 months), so not so long.

The other potential share price driver is the California drilling. Must admit I find NEN a bit slow on drilling compared to some other oilers I hold, but possibly because the well is very deep (14k feet?). So, it will be good to hear about that development.
