One of the best ways to know the order that interviews are done is not by looking at the video, but rather to follow the logic of the question/answer/accusation/response in the video.

Video opens with LAMP discussion between reporter and LAMP manager

Video cuts to Locals voicing concerns and making claims of dumping

Video cuts back to same interview between reporter and lamp manager responding to the accusations of dumping.


I suspect the reporter either did quite a bit of legwork going back and forth, or, more likely, went to the local opposition side to get their side of the story, then to Lynas to finish up the story and cut it to look otherwise... this shows the reporter was not geared to look for an anti-lynas slant without regard for balance.

I still think the report was balanced... I don't know if it will be good or bad for lynas as it has potential to grow legs and run locally with less of a balanced slant... none the less I took away a story of Australian company fighting an uphill battle to convince locals the LAMP was safe because of misinformation... Lynas was not painted as a bully for suing SLSM, it was painted as a company in the middle of an election.

Fairly truthful reporting.
