    It is not arrogance of the medical profession. The medical profession does research. If there was a link between vaccines and autism it would almost certainly be found. The paper I referenced shows there has been a significant increase in the rate of autism in the UK whilst vaccination rates were unchanged. The increase could be improved diagnosis, it could be some other environmental factor given increased industrialisation. But a few parents' opinions is not scientific research. Evidence continues to support vaccinated populations as the best protection against polio, whooping cough etc.
