And new Zinc battery tech appears to be able to hit the market at a fraction of the price per KW/H of Li-C batteries so it stands to get greater acceptance where weight is not an issue. If that tech gains traction it will be a real game changer.

I have no doubt the economics of Andrew are not looking flash hot right now, but the same can be said for many other prospective projects: Citronen, Admiral bay, Selwyn, and maybe even Cardiac creek and Dugald. And lets not talk about the mines in dodgy locations that are following Australia's lead and becoming "resource nationalists".

But what of all these hundred million dollar market cap iron ore hopefuls? Just how do they think all that iron is going to get galvanized if no new Zinc mines come on to replace the huge losses in production over the next few years?
Maybe they don't need it because all these Iron ore companies on the asx are also just 'shell companies', but their shareholders haven't realized it and stampeded for the door?! They probably don't have Paradigm clients on the register!

The main thing to consider wrt Andrew is the quality of the project *relative* to other prospective projects. If management make a silly decision that this 'isnt going to get up', then I doubt any other of it's peer projects will, and clearly that is going to be a dumb statement of the future potential in the midst of a 5 year GFC.
In that case IBG will probably also soon be 3c per share and a 'shell company'! Esp as it is going to be much harder to finance.

When/if global economy returns to growth the imminent Zn shortfall is going to be even worse now thanks to this 5 year crisis delaying new mines and permanently shutting marginal ones.

But this board meeting has me nervous. Plenty of opportunity for the board to play the longer term shareholders here and divert future profits to other hands.
But given the Zn price was a mere 10% higher than it is today when the chairman was reportedly calling the shares worth more than 40c, it is hard to see how they can change their tune without ruining their reputations, so I just hope they can see that.
