Commodity based currencies work because no matter how bad the world economy gets we all need 'stuff' like food and energy.

A country with no 'stuff' suffers greatly... like Greece. Tourism cannot feed them all and you can only sell so much olive oil.

Japan has no stuff either but they did it with intelligence and smarts by copying western technologies and improving on them... they have still dug an almighty hole for themselves.

Companies like CCU give Australians the 'Stuff' we need to stay ahead of the game, we hope.
