Have also been thinking (probably wishful thinking at its best) that if we have been in a giant accumulation range for months, that we may have already seen our terminal shakeout, which happens near the end of an accumulation range according to Wyckoff and is designed to remove weak holders that will get in the way of / sell into a subsequent markup phase. Many retail investors would have been quite comfortable buying at or just above our previous major support at $1. Unfortunately, many of these retail investors would have represented weak holders that needed to be shaken out. The trip down to 86.5c look like it accomplished this with volume drying right up in the week that followed. We then had a very quick markup to presumably lock out those weak holders that were shaken out at the lows. Now many of the retail investors who were confident buyers at or just above $1 prior to the shakeout but didn't actually get shaken out on the trip down below $1 are now happy to sell out break even or with a small loss. So perhaps much of the smart money's work is now done and they're just happy to just soak up the last of the retail supply before a big move up? Like I said, probably wishful thinking. :)
