pyrot - I happen to agree with this. Certainly not similar to QE1&2 - I don't think that would have any effect. In US, issue is property prices, so I think any stimulus needs to be mortgage backed securities. However, i believe the real issue, being Euro bank liquidity is going to be sorted out very soon by a 2nd LTRO - this caused the rally at the start of the year AND worked. This is what people should really be getting excited about... never mind, for now the market is focusing on Bernanke, so we should just be happy we are in a positive frame of mind.
