I totally agree with your post. I used to hold occasional garage sales to support family to declutter their houses and raise some cash. Over a number of years I noticed there were regular traders and a subcultural group of very friendly addicted garage sale hunters. The traders explained to me that they sold their goods online.
At the last garage sale (over 12 months ago) the traders informed me that the market was now saturated with people selling their goods online and therefore the value of second hand/preloved goods had reduced.
There are less overheads with an online business and we can now reach a much wider audience of shoppers via the internet.
