    Hi, abdm,

"They started "it" over 14 years ago, but does this fact suggest to you that they haven't engaged the services of a technology partner along the way?"

None of their descriptions sounds like OBJ tech. So if they are using OBJ tech, then they are not incorporating it into their promotional material. The onus of proof would be on us to prove the link. If there's any evidence against a link, then I'm inclined to think there's probably no link.

"OBJ Limited is pleased to announce the development of what is believed to be the first power-less active drug patch technology. The program was established to determine how OBJ’s expertise in non-contact active drug delivery techniques could be applied to create a new type of drug patch substrate with the ability to drive larger and more complex molecules through the skin. The result is a novel biphasic material, the subject of a recently lodged patent application, that captures thermal energy from the body to create an active drug push."

    Isn't this just OBJ's em-Patch?

Regarding your list of questions, all I can say is that companies don't report everything, and who knows what the missing info means? Absence of info is not impressive evidence.

OBJ announced the consultant link with fanfare, but that could be indicative of OBJ's size at the time - getting excited about having a minor connection to the big boys. If you read the announcements back then as being indicative of desperation, then you will see it all in a different light. It's like we can choose 2 lenses:

    1. OBJ is hot and in demand.
    2. OBJ is desperate and seeking a date.

The way you read announcements and do your research will be coloured by the lens. This happens with all companies on Hot Copper. You need people using both lenses, cos that way the optimists will find possibilities in their research, and the pessimists will test the soundness of the research.

I'm glad you're doing the research cos you might dig up something great. But I am worried that you might be over-invested in OBJ. Also, I think the best investment of time would be on cracking OBJ's computer systems! (joking). I mean the odds are against finding something big due to the stated confidentiality. That's a hard hurdle to start with.
