Gday Benson We will have to wait and see if the 787 can deliver as promised. I did a qick google and got some figures re the 787 vs 777. The 777 is bigger and can carry 100 more pax and maybe an extra 100 ton heavier than the 787, with the extra fuel and payload. But the 787 has much greater range, of course this will depend on payload vs fuel. The 777 has evolved over time into a great aircraft, i wouldnt right the 787 off yet, boeing will tweak it, and stretch it, and in time i am sure it will be a winner ! Time will tell? But to give them to Jetstar is wrong, especially when you look at the age of the domestic 767 fleet. GLTA @ QF !
