Buddy I'm a petroleum geologist (not retired) with over 30 years in oil & gas exploration, onshore, offshore, both in Australia & internationally and I'll strongly disagree with you.
What I do know is that Oil & gas explorers don't not make profits - they don't generate income - only oil & gas producers. Start thinking maximise/optimise profits from production rather than drill quick and worry about development plans later. The latter is the best way to destroy shareholder value and send a company broke.
Just my opinion!! Seen it happen to so many companies and seen others which understand that in the end its all about producing the oil/gas has efficiently as possible.
We don't want CTP to be an impoverished explorer - we want it to be a PROFITABLE E&P company!
