Another major outcome from positive ICS data is that they could begin the application of CVac to other MUC-1 cancers because of confirmation that it is actually attacking MUC-1 cells.
Up until now all we know is that CA-125 levels have stabilised or reduced in some very advanced early phase patients.
We've not yet had the scientific proof that it's the DC's attacking the MUC-1 tumour cells (which we need, to take CVac to the next step.)
Obviously, it's the most likely reason for the effect, but science works on proof, not assumption. ICS data will be the proof.
