I'm renting in Adelaide, and don't pay water. I live by myself, so the water usage isn't great, and this also ensures I look after the garden. If I was to pay for water, I would probably cut back on some of the watering, and do just enough to keep the plants alive, but not support their growth.
I live in a group of twenty townhouses. One is currently empty. It was on the market for $330/wk, they have dropped it to $320, but still no takers. Its been empty for over a month now.
