I've been through redundancy before myself although for me, it was actually quite a happy time, I must admit, as I actually wanted it. Depending on how long he's been there, he may wake up with a big bloody grin on his face (as did I) when he realizes he can take a bit of time off and enjoy life. Everybody is different though, and I hope he doesn't take it too hard. Cheers
