you would be appalled at what people give their animals to eat..especially the dogs...like all human food scraps...including chocolate, onions, raisins... all the bad stuff

she has her own eating area...I have always ignored her when we are dining, so she is not familiar with the begging bit...
...she is fed around the same time everyday...has a constant supply of biscuits...that are supposed to give her all the nutrition and daily requirments needed, plus her water.
she does her own thing when we are eating...but friends and visitors try to give her titbits....I ask them nicely, dont do that...it only encourages bad behaviour

playing with her, is the best treat you can give her

she only weighs 4 kg...her weight has rarely changed all her adult life

maybe it is the handyman, or a regular visitor that has sneaked anzac biscuits to her...???
or maybe she sees me in the pantry, and loves to watch me cooking...that she figures there may be a bigger choice for her..in that big pantry

a younger family member had her eating raw carrots, cut in half like a bone, when she stayed with us...but the dog has not been interested since she left...

teaching dogs tricks, or playing with them, with a fav toy, is a far better treat for them...than giving food

I will be making her, her own little sand and or, dirt pit...so she can dig holes, to her hearts content...she loves that, plus retrieving, toys , balls, just about anything.

I obviously have too much time on my hands.

She has been practising, throwing things to me, and wanting me ......to retrieve them....it is too funny
    she is very clever...
