"For example, abdm said that Alza Corp "magically disappeared", then I pointed out that J&J probably absorbed them as it seems to say on the wikipedia page, yet that is ignored and we just move on to the next speculation."
I was speaking metaphorically when I wrote, Alza Corp "magically disappeared" - and for the record, I don't believe in magic MG
In Post #: 8190418 I also wrote:
"I've found a number of patent applications dated up to 2012 relating to Zosano's ZP-PTH patch which are filed under Alza Corp as the assignee and Peter Daddona - Zosano's Chief Technology Officer as one of the named inventors, which I thought was interesting when considering Zosano was spun out as a private company from ALZA/J&J in 2006?"
On the topic of "Speculation" here's a thought, Martin
In your opinion my p&g - Collect & Develop post in June last year was just, "a guess at a possible opportunity." - and as you may also recall this "guess" also led me towards "guessing" the Ariel connection, which we were all advised through our MD's own words at the AGM that this research was "way off the mark", and importantly Glyn also added that he had never heard of "Ariel", so let's put things into perspective from my own point of view:
Fact: OBJ have now signed an exclusive multi-product Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with The Procter and Gamble
Fact: The two companies began collaborations over a year ago as part of P&G’s Connect+Develop open innovation program.
Fact: The signing of the JDA comes after extensive evaluations aimed at identifying commercially viable opportunities for OBJ’s unique technologies
Fact: Under the JDA, P&G and OBJ will jointly evaluate the application of OBJ’s micro-array technologies with products in P&G’s global brand portfolio.
Fact: The announcement to the market on 18 May 2012 did not once state the word "Beauty"

Now, whilst the idea of Ariel received plenty of critique, unfortunately my research didn't, which means I'm still left with no "logical" answer to the following.
OBJ began collaborating with P&G's Connect & Develop almost two years ago whilst during the same period filing FoU patents covering the field of "Fabric Care" yet I'm suppose to believe that OBJ management have never even heard of the name of the world's #2 laundry detergent, and P&G's main brand outside the US?
