re: News: Muting Gold Announces Maiden High G... anyone worried by those price assumptions?
gold - $US1700/oz
silver - $US40/oz
1USD = 1.05AUD
this has me worried. those assumptions are very high, indeed we are currently quite a way below that (not that it matters at the minute of course).
i thought to myself "hmm i'm not sure about that exchange rate, oh but if the aussie weakens, the price of silver and gold will strengthen". Then i realised that the Au and Ag are USD prices. therefore with costs in AUD and a high USD price forecast, MYG could be vulnerable to currency moves as well as all the other risks.
i prefer it when the price assumption is well below the prevailing price, e.g. PGI, using $1250 for a gold price
red flag for me
