That Web site you quoted has no credibility - it is not a mainstream government or academic establishment at all.

    From their Web site:

"The National Toxics Network (NTN) is a community based network working to ensure a toxic-free future for all. NTN was formed in 1993 and has grown as a national network giving a voice to community and environmental organisations across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific."

If you check the bios of their principle operators, they are mainly activists and the like, as carry no more credibility than the local protesters in Malaysia. Possibly less.

They are NOT an authoritative body, they are way off the beam in their knowledge of the facts re the LAMP, and as such, I really don't think their "recommendation" is worth a pinch of mildly radioactive gypsum, to be honest... ;)

I do wish you wouldn't quote these things as "Australian Report" - it is nothing of the sort. It is the opinion of a bunch of activists - worth about as much as the opinion of Jamie Parker or Lee Rhiannon or Adele Carles -i.e not much!
