Somebody is talking to them about taking over the company. No bid has been received yet. They MAY know more tonight, in which case they will announce tonight if they can.
If they do not receive a takeover offer, they will be doing a placement.
There you go - clear as mud! Why they phrased it that way in the letter to ASX, I don't think they know.
