Since We're talking about good news I'll share my good news too...
I have been tracking short positions on LYC from the start of the year and producing several charts. Now I must qualify the following chart by saying that my latest data (from ASIC) is the 21st of June... It doesnt consider today's nightmare.
What you can see is the LYC Price (blue) with the percentage of daily shorts superimposed over the top. From around about the middle of the month it seems short positions may be unwinding. Short positions on 13/06/2012 were 10.70% of total daily trades and this has decreased to 9.89% 20/6/12 and 10.01% 21/6/12. Could shorts be slowly unwinding (potentially quickly unwinding as of today???
God I hope this nightmare ends soon.
