Are the markets going to collapse and end life as we know it? No. Why? Because the can kicking will continue for a long time yet.
On the other hand, the amount of people who yak on about infinite growth and how great it is (even better, seem to believe in it) is mind boggling. Are people really that stupid, or just choose to stick their collective heads in the sand? Regardless of what is going to happen in the short to medium term, what we have here is a completely unsustainable economic model which nobody is interested in fixing.
EVENTUALLY we as a species will have to face the music, but I am a firm believer that it will be the next generations problem. No way am I leaving any kids behind!
