Having read the article at the below link i am pleased Lynas have been made to provide conclusive proof that the LAMP will be 100% safe to all who come into contact with the LAMP.
The article is thought provoking to say the least. Not entirely sure what the point of it is other than to highlight the plight of the locals and the legacy left by Mitsubishi who appear to have gotten off very lightly.
Lynas have done everything they possibly can to ensure safety and only time will tell whether it is enough. Whether they would have done enough without the efforts of SMSL et al, I do not know, however after reading the article i am pleased lynas have been made to measure everything more than twice.
Hopefully this LAMP will go a long way towards restoring faith in Malaysians that technology and industry can be good for them and their economy without sacrifice.
I cant help but feel responsible for some of Mitsubishi's mess and am comfortable with making some amends for their failings if it means a long and mutually rewarding relationship between Lynas and the local residents.
