Thanks green ant, I agree you can't just compare to house prices which is why I also mentioned other assets, utility prices, capex and opex costs have all risen much more than POG over the period since the early 80's till now.
If you look at money supply increases you come to the same conclusion.
My point is gold can move up a long way to catch up to everything else so you don't need more inflation to see a higher POG.
