Qatar Airways has reportedly spoken about its plans to partner with Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN).
According to The Australian, the middle-east based airline says it is in talks with Qantas about a strategic partnership.
The report says a code share pact with Qantas would enable it to expand its European network, and would see Qatar expand its options in Australia.
In the first half of the 2012 financial year Qantas reported a net profit of $42 million.
