The whole situation is hilarious.

You guys knife Rudd because according to the majority of caucus, he is hopeless. You put in Gillard only to find that she is even more hopeless than Rudd ever was.

You cant find anyone who is not hopeless, so you bat for the original guy who was always hopeless anyway.
