Agree Turnbull is a populist. Not a coincidence that he's now championing gay marriage, an issue that only came up a few months ago pushed by the Greens.
Abbott does show himself to be a leader by sticking to his principles and not changing his mind under pressure. Libs went through 3 leaders including Turnbull and Abbott was the only one that united the party and really destroyed the credibility of the current government.
