Ar - congrats to you for your sensible approach and wisdom. Unfortunately, not what the punters here want to hear by the lack of TU's it seems.

SP, MS, CM and others - again, applaud the enthusiasm, but it would be fool hardy to believe that there is only ONE BC coal drying tech and that is Coldry.

Even fool hardier to believe that it will only ever be Coldry in the LV.

We already know that Hazelwood and Yallourn are talking to other BC competitors.

The big one to fear is the Germans as they are operating their BCE tech commercially on a number of power plants O/S.

This has been discussed at length previously before.

There are several BCE techs and I can assure you at whatever level they may be at in their development - there will be some ready to go commercially before Coldry and some that will not. Some may be cheaper and more efficient, others may not.

It is just too early to tell which tech will be overall the best and as Ar said, what one man creates another can do it better.

Let's not forget that ESI tech is what? some 20 years old? and is just getting to DFT stage now. A lot can change in that time.

It is very possible that whilst ESI are waiting on funds to complete DFT2 and 3, the Germans (who are already in discussions with Hazelwood) are on their way!

Until there is a definitive and current Coldry and AGL link announced from ESI and AGL, than any other article talking about roadmaps, S7 tenders, CT, carbon reduction and so on in LV, would be generic and all encompassing.

To think that any of these articles are ESI and/or Coldry specific would be drawing a very, very long bow.

I do hope that Coldry is a winner as that would be a win for any BC holding Co.
