Think for a minute kippa5, would any employer, Govt or otherwise get rid of necessary employees? Labor in Qld in 2009 with Bligh steering promised 100,000 new jobs over the three years up the next election, unfortunately she forgot to add they would be totally within the Public Service. Between Beattie and herself they apparently managed to secure close to 60,000 extra paper shufflers between them! Governments do not create jobs full stop. They might let a contract or two to private enterprise but they are short term at best.
Way too many Public Servants in roles that are totally unnecessary, some don't even do any productive work at all I have read. If it were a Policeman or a Nurse or a useful and productive position bring it on. But not another useless paper shuffler. Onya Campbell...
