I think we have already incurred future dilution. The question is, how much?
Najib and company appear to be skittish because they aren't using strong arm tactics in this election so far. Once SMSL, etc., made mistakes so there was good evidence of the defamation it was pursued. Good for Najib, because Lynas does it and he has a little distance from it.
Free speeach is about freedom from the state suppressing speech. Rather than have suppression of free speech by the state, this is a private matter and has nothing to do with the state.
If I were a judge I would take a dim view of someone apologizing too late and too little, and causing the case to come into my courtroom. We will just have to wait and see.
Malaysia did pass laws so they could shut down internet sites though. I think the old guard is leary of the use of the internet, etc.
