Webjet Limited (ASX:WEB) has entered into its first international franchise agreement with South Africa’s largest travel conglomerate BidTravel.
The agreement which will run for a minimum of ten years will see webjet franchise its brand and booking engine.
The online travel company will receive an initial franchise fee and ongoing annual payments.
The company recently announced expansion plans into Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Turkey where it will launch a new hotel aggregation platform.
In the first half of the 2012 financial year Webjet generated a net profit of $5.9 million.
