Mark, I thought Australia had an obligation to take in refugees, real refugees, and even then only up to a certain number.

What about those who are not fleeing persecution? What about those who are not poor either but want to come here and live off our taxpayers?

I understand it is highly illegal for Australians to fraudulently take welfare payments - why is it not illegal for Captain Emad and his ilk?

Even Chris Bowen and the UN have both admitted that many of these arrivals are not genuine refugees.
