OGC released an announcement regarding mining reformin the Philipines. It does not seem to indicate trouble.
These kind of development always cast a shadow in investors' mind even if it's totally benign.
Given the kind of political system in the Philipines, and that country's closer ties to the US, I don't expect it to be too bad.
Still, it could be an opportunity for the Philipino government to grab a bigger share of the revenues/profits. I expect any new development to be of monetary nature.
