To note ... I am VERY confident of the science here. The bottom line is the this treatment WILL IMO be used globally as emergency treatment for heart attack and stroke patients for year to come.

Timeframe? Clinical trials with Pharmahungary next year .... mabe some commencing activity Q4 but I don't know this.

Trial duration? It will be a lot shorter than a cancer trial becausue results will be obvious right away.

Efficacy? has been demonstrated on small and large animals (pigs). Something like a 35%+ reduction in heart muscle damage for induced heart attacks in the swine. Human hearts will behave the same so this is HUGE. I dn't have the info on stroke but presumably data has gone to the US Patent Office to support the application.

Alternatives: Not really. MK treatment can be used alongside other emergency treatment options. Paramedics and doctors will use all options in combination IMHO. Grantjo may like to add a more informed opinion here.

Side Effects: I understand there are no side effects from ST midkine treatments.

Its a big ticket item for Pharmahumgary IMHO. The US patent is a key groundwork requirement and will secure revenue for 20 years.


I'm now waiting for news on other pipelines over the next little while to reinforce some excitement. Fingers crossed.
