With respect the most likely course now will be a decision made by the respective governments who have eminent domain over the technology ie the Aust via DSTO the US DOD and the UK govt - STK (which is the Singapore govt) and possibly PNG will also be involved given their past involvement.
Whatever the outcome the tech will be subject to defense security considerations in a similar way to what happened with regard to the NBN and a foreign govt tender earlier this year.
All IMO of course.
