The old saying in the industry is: The BULLS make money; the BEARS make money and the PIGS get slaughtered;
Let me tell you a story of the little piggies.
The little piggies see a nice juicy company and they want a share of it. So they jump in and are expecting a good profit.
Then comes the nasty bear, he is ugly. He pushes and pushes and the share price falls.
The little piggie is all worried and as the price falls he starts to heat up with worry, you can hear a piggie because he squeals.
As the price falls further more piggies squeal and it makes our piggie even more worried. So he puts his share on the dreaded STOP-LOSS. Still the price falls.
One day Bear has eaten all of the piggies share he wants and is full. Then comes the Bull, he's hungry too. he eats all the shares that are left in the market by the piggies who have given up hope ans just want the agony to end.
Poor little piggie. But it needn't be like this.
