Is Jantimot still ranting? Iron based ferromagnets (hard not soft and I don't mean hardness) are indeed equivalent to Jantimot's 'carburetor' whereas the Nd versions are the fuel injection system. He probably has nothing more than a basic high school understanding of magnetism other than what is given in Wikipedia. An understanding of why Nd has replaced Fe based materials comes only from a deeper knowledge of quantum mechanics of magnetism. Additionally, only very few elements and a careful combination of elements provides the ultra high coersive forces of such materials. I am raving I think.
