Yes they (short term traders) provide liquidity, but a managements role is to ensure long term value is unlocked for investors, otherwise our Super Annuation sector would be a shot duck and our whole market would go down the toilet because everyone is playing the short term trade, I couldn't see any CEO condoning and ecouraging that with their company's stock.
