To be fair I don't think he was blaming the current share price completely on the price of gold. I tend to agree that there are significant company issues (uh hum management decisions) but a higher share price would mitigate them a little.

As far as the gold manipulation issue goes I guess my question is why would you create a paper based trading system that effectively unlinks the price of gold from availability when it is clear that some of the commodities' value is linked to availability?
