Firstly, the consolidation is to prevent the company from going into administration.Without any revenue, and no hope of revenue in the short term, the company had their backs to the wall. Those handed shares will dump them.In the past, they have done so.Also,if the CEO admits that 'results' are not expected for atleast eighteen months, why wouldn't they make some coin and buy in later?
As for the media coverage,so what? The stock has been a speculative buy for years:in this dire market no one wants to put their hard-earned into such companies.Has their been any volume increase following the spate of media items?
Punters know that a cap raising will only dilute the SP further,so some will want to exit before the event:that is take advantage of the pump and dump.
So what if the company has no cash, revenue or deal signed:people still 'can milk the cow' by orchestrating a P and D.That's what they have being doing for the last few years. The fact is,the CEO,has made unsubstantiated claims about the conduct of board members including the inventor. To do so in this forum is highly suspicious. Why not release information to the market? We haven't heard their side of the story. It just so convenient to blame them for the position we're in.Since the CEO took the reins, the SP has nose-dived.
Lastly, there must be many people just waiting for the P and D:some will see this as the last opportunity to exit.As stated above, why not get out and come back when they have a deal which ensures a future revenue stream?
Five years ago, this company was an outstanding speculative buy.No anymore. The 'pigs at the trough' have completely destroyed the credibility of the company. There is an offensive smell here that is still present. That is why a P and D is highly likely.
Have a Nice Day
