But taking jobs is not the easy defence it once used to be with consumers who may benefit from subsequent lower prices.
So the Australian Workers Union claimed wider combs injured sheep. Yep.
Just like today, when farmers here want to stop competitive imports of fruit, they claim the imported variety will be tinged with all sorts of exotic diseases.
