The other thing about alogorythmic trading (bots) is they can apear to be selling when actually they are buying, and visa versa. Lots of little sells across the spread, then a couple of decent chomps when those trying to sell above the bot get sick of waiting, as the bot keeps feeding the buyers in dribs and drabs they feel no urgency to meet the sellers.

This bot always opens well under the buyers ensuring that the open, and often the close are at daily lows. If the bot was really selling, why would it behave so desperatly? Then again, it could just be messing with our heads.
