DIRECTOR: SKC: CONFIRMATION OF RICHARD DIDSBURY AS SKYCITY DIRECTOR
SKYCITY Entertainment Group Limited advises that it has appointed Auckland
Director Richard Didsbury as a non-executive director.
SKYCITY announced in November 2011 its intention to appoint Mr Didsbury as a
non-executive director, subject to approval by regulatory authorities in each
of SKYCITY's gaming jurisdictions. Such approvals have now been obtained.
Richard Didsbury is a founding shareholder and Director of the manager of
Kiwi Income Property Trust (KIPT), which is now the largest property vehicle
listed on the NZX. Within KIPT, Richard was the Chair of the Sylvia Park
Project Control Group which successfully completed New Zealand's biggest
retail development. Richard is currently a Director of Auckland International
Airport Limited and the Hobsonville Land Company Limited which is developing
a major new waterfront community in Auckland's north-west.
Previous governance roles include Director of Infrastructure Auckland.
SKYCITY Chairman, Mr Rod McGeoch said "I am delighted to formally welcome
Richard to the SKYCITY Board. Richard graduated in Engineering from The
University of Auckland and has had a distinguished career in property
development. He is well known for his work on the Property Council of New
Zealand and is a Trustee of the Committee for Auckland".
