ABC radio's record library's awash with these whining Aussie "I'm an intellectual" singers - would be if they could be's all wringing out woe is me terribly "clever" songs with appalling vapid lyrics full of misery or claptrap - all about doom, gloom, disaster, personal plights, and "he did - he didn't" does he love me (who cares) - all so-called "message" songs - ABC thinks these are all terribly avant-garde trendy/clever - (Message to me is - turn it off!) Rather listen to the cat. As least she's cheerful! If we weren't depressed when these whingings start - we sure are by the time they're finished.
Oh no - no common American trash allowed on good old Aunty. Just keep playing Aussie singers - the more pathetic their efforts, the more nasal the accent - the more overall excrutiatingly bad and monotonous - the more they seem to promote and play their rubbish. Seems ABC have a fetish for these young female complainer/warblers. One of whom sat sucking sour lollies all through Q@A.
