Like the post - a man's word is his bond.
I'm only a small holder, no margin call to worry about, etc etc, so could happily throw in the drawer for a few years and see what will be. But I'm probably in the minority, and feel for the LT holders who have been there for several years in what has been an amazing corporate saga.
Makes the old days of negotiating with BHP and the Japanese steel mills look like high tea at The Algonquin.
Will be interested to see how widespread the attention on this transaction will be from a global investment perspective. In the world of commerce, there's plenty of cut and thrust, but a game like this is hard to run too many times before it catches up.
Like the LYC thread, the SDL thread is a pretty intense one at times, so if anyone has a good link to YouTube footage of something funny like cats playing piano, feel free to post it; I think we'll be in a TH for a while yet.
