Rorkes, I agree, but as you say, that's just our opinion based on deduction.
Let's be clear about a few things...
- the 2 new conditions only require AELB to approve the plans Lynas submitted in early July. Nothing to do with installing these systems. That's not to say Lynas may be doing so, but not a factor in the TOL issue. At a guess, they may be getting on with it and while that would not necessitate any delay in the heating of the kiln, it is conceivable that the 2 week delay was a result of Lynas prioritising other maintenance which may include this kind of work. Again, just a thought/guess, not based on any source, just to be crystal clear.
- the next SMSL court date 26/9 is purely procedural - more case management. It will decide matters such as relocation to Kuantan and disclosure of Lynas docs that SMSL say have been withheld. This will be a 3 month process from the previous date and has no bearing on the TOL issue either.
- the only remaining factor in the TOL issue is the approval of the 2 new conditions by AELB. ANY other suggestion eg election is unsubstantiated and false.
