JT - thanks for the review of Shell's interests. I agree they might consider they have enough to do for now. Recently they bid for a small company called Cove Energy in Africa but walked away when the price went oo high.
I noticed that BHP have announced that they intend to reduce proposed future capital expenditure at the Olympic Dam project. BHP's results a couple of days ago were pretty horrible and analyst forecasts are for profit decreases in the next 2 years. Partly due to huge write downs of shale gas interests in the US.
As someones said recently, it would be good to see a better price put on Beach by means of a takeover of a similar company by one of the big boys. It is worrying that the big boys seem to be retrenching. Can you put a better spin on this that I can?
