Skol, you may well of heard and read much tripe in your time and heard all about world wide poverty etc etc, but the fact remains, that never before in the history of civilisation, has so much debt been accumulated at one time. Never in recorded history has so many people and governments, accumulated the massive debt levels that we are witnessing now, all due to a Fractional Reserve Banking and debt based currency system.
These are times that you can not measure against any other period. You can not compare 1980 to current days, as the accumulation of debt levels and currency devaluation is much greater than anyone has ever witnessed. There is no turning back from the inevitible catastrophic currency collapse that awaits us all.
