Macquarie published some worst case modelling research today....where they modelled what the valuation of BHP & RIO would be if the current IO prices stay at the spot price of 90 and the ex rate stays at the current 1.03. Below is the summary of what they found.....so some people might be switching back from BHP into RIO...
Also RIO was around 5% short sold where as BHP was only around 0.2% short sold.....so there is also some short covering happening....
