    carmen, excellent post.

At the risk of being lumbered for being over my daily (ten post) limit I just cant help but respond, in everyone's interest, to your post.

I have on numerous occasions drawn to all and sundry's attention that the problems that we do have can be pointed in cause as being Wall Street et al. Those greedy little self centered capitalists who, firstly, destroyed the global banking system and then ran to government, and are still running to government, so as to restore their financial as well as their operational position back to where it was when they were successfully rorting the system, ripping people off and pocketing the proceeds.

Of course there are two categories of people in this world: the intelligent and the unintelligent. The intelligent people are those who have examined the facts, examined them using clear thinking/combined with knowledge and come the correct conclusion. The conclusion that their current Federal Government was not to blame for the few economic problems that we did have (pink batts et cetera), but, rather, should be heartily congratulated for preventing us from getting into the soft stuff, the soft stuff that all of the other developed economies (poor buggers) are finding themselves in and, instead, giving us figures like these:

    4.3% growth
    3.5% OCR

    5.2% unemployment
    1.2% inflation

    Budget back to surplus
AAA rated bonds with very low yield
Record investment pipeline of 900 billion. Half already committed

It is far beyond the time that a lot of people took off their ideological blinkers and, in their own interest, looked at the cold hard facts.
