Did you pick up on the sale of 2099 shares sold at 4.18pm at $4.07. By coincidence these were the same number of shares offered at the aborted auction also at $4.07.

You may have missed what was happening on the buying side at the auction. There were repeated similar bids for say 16231 shares[ can't recall exact number] but progressively lower by one cent and these were matched on the selling side by one 16231 sell. Someone is playing funny buggers.
